Wendy W. Kershner, Principal, Axia Marketing


Wendy Kershner Wendy Kershner is the Principal of Axia Marketing, a consulting firm that works with organizations who want to re-imagine and streamline their marketing efforts.

Prior to establishing her own business in 2002, Wendy spent 18 years in corporate management in the entertainment, financial and health care industries. She led diverse teams of creative, production, fulfillment, inventory, and direct marketing groups as well as directed external partners. Wendy has worked for Fortune 500-company Aetna and financial innovator The Vanguard Group. For a period of time she ran off and joined the circus as Publications Director for Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus. Her brand experience includes Walt Disney, AT&T, Radio City Music Hall, Madison Square Garden, The Shubert Organization, Cameron Mackintosh and Andrew Lloyd Webber as well as affiliations with Grey Advertising, Lewis & Gace Pharmaceutical Advertising, Vineyard Theatre, Mita Copiers, and Sugarloaf Ski Resort.

Axia clients include Independence Blue Cross, Aetna, AmeriHealth, Sight & Sound Theaters, HR Impact, CH Briggs, Blue Spring, the Delaware Art Museum, The Anderson Group, Mogel, Speidel, Bobb & Kershner law firm, Johnson Matthey, Careers for Women, American Music Theatre, The Bachman Company, Berks County Bar Association, 3rd & Spruce Cafe and Vanguard Charitable Endowment Program. Wendy's business roles extend to: advising senior management; facilitating strategic planning sessions; defining marketing strategies; recommending marketing process improvements; planning and developing marketing programs; and designing and implementing marketing tests, prototypes and rollouts.

Wendy holds a B.A. in Fine Arts from Trinity College, Hartford, CT, with concentrations in architecture and English. She did additional studies at Harvard Graduate School of Design, School of Visual Arts, Atlanta College of Art, The Printmaking Workshop, Fleisher Art Memorial, Dartmouth's Tuck School of Business and Kutztown University. She continues to take advanced education courses in both business and art.

Axia is WBENC-certified as a woman owned business, and Wendy is a past consultant for the Wharton Small Business Development Center. She's also a Leadership Philadelphia and Leadership Reading alum, a past member of the Galleries at Moore Friends Advisory Board, and previously served as Board President for the Philadelphia Children's Alliance. She is actively involved in an initiative to establish a mural art program in Berks Count, supports local community agencies, Breast Cancer Support Services and Berks Women in Crisis, serves on the board of the Friends of Conrad Weiser Homestead and is the 1st Vice Regent of the Berks County DAR. Outside of the office, Wendy is a fine artist and printmaker, and she exhibits her art work regularly in the greater Reading, Philadelphia and Washington, DC, areas.
